A place to remember. A place to heal.

For children who have lost a parent, sibling or other special person through death, Camp Firefly provides a special place to share feelings, to make new friends, and to find relief from grief. Throughout the full day of camp, activities designed to help ease grief are combined with traditional fun bonding experiences such as canoeing, cookouts, and arts-and-crafts. The camp is fully staffed by professional counselors and trained volunteers. See more of Camp Firefly on You Tube.

This full-day program is free to all registered children. Space is limited.

Camp Age Requirements: 7 to 14 years old
Cost: There is no cost to campers or their families. Application required. Space is limited.
Residency Requirements: Must reside in Burlington, Camden or Gloucester, NJ counties or have a loved one who received care under The Hospice of Moorestown VNA services.

My son has been angry since the day he lost his father. At Camp Firefly he was lucky enough to have counselors that gave him a way to talk about what he's been going through, and when he talked to the other kids who lost their dads too it was a real breakthrough. It's going to take more time, but I think Camp Firefly was the turning point in helping him work through the sadness we've all been feeling. Thank you for this new beginning.
