Here are some of the many ways a donation to Moorestown Visiting Association benefits the residents of Burlington, Camden & Gloucester counties.
Home Care, Hospice Care and Counseling Services to Those in Need
Even when a patient under our care requires services beyond the limits of their insurance or ability to pay, we will visit them and provide our full attention and treatment. Our mission is to provide comfort and independence at home. No patient under our care will ever be discharged into an unsafe environment, regardless of ability to pay.
Flu and Pneumonia Vaccines
We provide flu and pneumonia vaccines to those in the community most at risk and most in need.
Heater and Fan Program
Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association provides appropriate units at no charge to our patients most in need, ensuring comfort at home in extreme weather conditions.
Community Wellness Events
From public blood pressure screenings to public speaking events, our staff provides and distributes information at community events and health fairs designed to keep our neighbors well and well informed.
Volunteer Programs
Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association recruits and trains volunteers of all ages and from all walks of life. These volunteers serve our community providing respite care, staffing events, and lending a helping hand whenever and wherever it is needed.
Grief Support Groups
The Hospice of Moorestown VNA offers a wide selection of support groups designed to comfort those who have lost a spouse, child, parent or special friend. Camp Firefly is an annual program for that provides a special place for children ages 7-14 to share feelings, to make new friends and to find relife from grief. All groups are open to the community free of charge.
Memorial Services
Memorializing those we have lost serves to honor them and keep their spirit alive. Twice annually, The Hospice of Moorestown VNA offers non-denominational public memorial services.
